Four receive sentences related to child sex crimes

7 8 Icac Sentences File Vo00 00 14 23still002RAPID CITY, S.D. — On Friday, four men were convicted for sex crimes against children and received sentences.

All four men were convicted due to the efforts from the South Dakota Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Travis McDonald of Rapid City was arrested on August of 2020 during an undercover sex trafficking operation during the Sturgis Rally. He received a seven year sentence with five years of supervised release for attempted enticement of a minor using the internet.

Alec Daniels of Rapid City was arrested following an operation during the 2021 Sturgis Rally, receiving a two year sentence with five years of supervised release for possession of child pornography.

Cody Green of Box Elder was charged with attempted enticement of a minor in September of 2020. He received a ten year sentence with five years of supervised release.

The last to be convicted was Michael Parks, who was charged with possession of child pornography, received a five year sentence with five years of supervised release and a $53,000 restitution fee to the victims.
