Fort Hays Chuckwagon Supper and Show installing new buffalo hunt ride

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Fort Hays Chuckwagon Supper and Show is adding a new interactive attraction this summer, five years in the making.

They’re installing a chair-lift ride called “The Buffalo Hunt”. Riders get to soar over a statues of a buffalo herd, and shoot LED targets that will light up when riders shoot them. Once the three-minute ride is complete, riders will receive a score card indicating how they did.

“It’s absolutely fun for all ages, for the whole entire family,” said Clint Jones, the Co-owner of Fort Hays Chuckwagon Supper and Show. “You know there is a pretty low bar for height requirement, but it’s not a thrill ride, it’s not a super high speed ride or anything like that so its great for the whole family.”

“The Buffalo Hunt” interactive ride is scheduled to be up and running by mid-July.
