Football: Golddiggers power past Warriors in Prospector Bowl
DEADWOOD, S.D. – Last year, the Lead-Deadwood football team won their final five games of the regular season to finish with a 5-3 record.
This year, the Golddiggers have picked up where they left off.
Lead-Deadwood is currently 4-1 through the first five weeks of the season.
The Golddiggers earned their fifth win on Saturday night as they defeated Bennett County, 57-7, at the 27th annual Prospector Bowl.
Earlier in the day at the Prospector Bowl, Little Wound rolled over McLaughlin, 36-6.
Lead-Deadwood will host McLaughlin on Sept. 28 before wrapping up the regular season on Oct. 12 in Custer.
