Flu now widespread in 47 states

The flu is continuing its march across the country, and there’s no sign that the season has peaked.

The CDC reports that flu activity has been increasing in recent weeks, and is now widespread in 47 states and Puerto Rico. It’s hit people over the age of 65 especially hard.

However, this year is nowhere near the high levels of flu activity experienced in 2018.

Additionally, doctors say there’s still time to get vaccinated, and that doing so can help protect both yourself and others.
