Fleet Farm announces store opening in Rapid City

RAPID CITY, S.D. — After a year and a half of planning and building, Rapid City’s new Fleet Farm facility held it’s grand opening.

The doors opened at 7 a.m. for hundreds of customers excited to get a glimpse of all the store had to offer. Construction began in the spring of 2019 and the company began the hiring process this past June. Despite the short time employees had to prepare for the grand opening, they say it exceeded expectations.

“I know the community has been anxiously awaiting this day,” said Human Resource and Training Manager, Tamika Parks. “We’ve had overwhelming responses and comments on our Facebook posts leading up to today. When we opened our doors at 7 a.m., we had about 700 people come through the doors. So, it exceeded everything we could hope for with our grand opening today.”
