LEAD, S.D. — This week on Feeling Better Living Longer, Bob talks with ski trainer Doug Dexhemier and personal trainer Brad Gilbert about the health benefits of skiing.
While some may feel it’s too late for them to pick up a new hobby, snow sports are an excellent activity for both the young and old.
According to Gilbert, not only does skiing help build stronger bones and joints, it’s also good for your mind and body to learn the movement and coordination involved.
Additionally, seniors that are 70+ can ski for free at Terry Peak, and the mountain is hosting Senior Slope-Side Day next week, on February 28.
