Fatigued driver strikes another vehicle on I-29

WATERTOWN, S.D. – The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a crash that happened on I-29 on Saturday morning involved driver fatigue.

Watertown troopers investigated the crash, which occurred when a fatigued driver struck a vehicle hauling a trailer as it was merging onto the roadway, according to a Facebook post from the S.D. Highway Patrol.

After hitting the trailer, the car went into the ditch and rolled multiple times.

It’s not yet known if the driver had any passengers and if any of the people involved in the crash sustained injuries.
