Fatal motorcycle crash south of Riverside, Wyoming

RIVERSIDE, Wyo. — A Colorado man died in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon near Riverside, Wyoming.

The driver of the motorcycle, 67-year-old Harry Gardner, was from Breckenridge, Colorado. Gardner was travelling on Highway 230 when he failed to negotiate a turn on the road, entering the ditch and crashing into a fence post.

Gardner was not wearing a helmet and succumbed to his injuries while he was being transported to the hospital.

Driver fatigue, inattention, or a possible medical condition is being investigated as possible contributing factors.

This is the 86th fatality on Wyoming’s roadways in 2019 compared to 54 in 2018, 76 in 2017, and 48 in 2016 to date.
