Fatal injury reported at Terry Peak
LEAD, S.D. — One man died after suffering a fatal injury on the slopes of Terry Peak Ski Area.
According to a release from Marketing Director Linda Derosier, the man was injured at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday on one of Terry Peak’s slopes. In the release Derosier said “management and staff send their sincere condolences to the family and friends of this young man.”
The identity of the man has not yet been released.
The fatal event happened the day before Terry Peak joined the National Ski Areas Associations #RideAnotherDay campaign. The campaign encourages skiers and snowboarders to slow down and be aware of their surroundings, mindful of objects and people.
