Ellsworth Air Force Base lockdown lifted

ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. — Special measures were put into place at Ellsworth AFB following a report of shots fired at approximately 4:30 p.m., today.

“The situation was assessed, and no threat was identified,” said Col. David Doss, 28th
Bomb Wing commander. “We take all threats and reports seriously, and our team
responds to all situations to ensure the safety of our Airmen and their families.”
