Eleven new COVID-19 cases in Pennington County

112 new cases statewide; no new deaths.

PIERRE, S.D. — The number of new coronavirus cases in South Dakota rose by 112 on Saturday.

Of the 112 cases, 37 were found in Minnehaha County. That county leads the State with 3,248 cases. A total of 43 people have died from the virus in that county. Statewide, 50 have died.

West River saw a rise of 17 cases, 11 in Pennington County, 3 in Tripp County, 2 in Oglala Lakota County, and 1 in Meade County. A total of 138 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Pennington County while 24 have recovered. South Dakota has 1082 active cases, up 43 from Friday.

The State has reported a total of 4,468 positive cases. More than 3,3oo of those have recovered.

Ninety people have been hospitalized because of the virus, up 7 from Friday. A total of 358 people have ever been hospitalized from COVID-19.
