Elevate Rapid City seeks proposals for downtown lot

RAPID CITY, SD — Elevate Rapid City wants proposals to develop the downtown lot that was once intended to be Presidents Plaza.

The lot at the intersection of Fifth Street and Saint Joseph Street is a little over an acre. Right now it’s owned by the city.

City Hall hopes whatever goes in the space will be used to grow downtown development downtown east of Fifth Street.

The deadline for proposals is the end of the summer.
