Air Show piqued your aviation interest? Local flight schools say “come give it a try”
RAPID CITY, S.D. — If watching all the high-flying action at the 2022 Ellsworth Air and Space Show has piqued your interest in aviation, then a local flight school wants to meet you.
Plane Training, LLC., based out of Rapid City, had their Piper Cherokee on display at the Ellsworth Air and Space Show. The Piper – looking little behind the B-1 displays – is one of two aircraft the flight school uses to train pilots.
From getting a private pilots license to becoming a certified flight instructor, Plane Training teaches all levels.
“You just have to have an interest in aviation, and we start out real simple; you can come out to do an introductory flight, and we’re just there to make sure you have fun [and] a good first experience with flying, and then we take it from there,” says flight instructor Chase Browdie.
Browdie says they have between 15 and 20 regular students who come from different backgrounds and start at different levels
He says flying is a great time, and he recommends anyone with interest give it a try.
