ECHL Playoffs: RC Rush fall in overtime to Allen

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Rush opened the playoffs on Friday night with a 3-2 win over the Allen Americans.

The Rush were looking for the same outcome on Saturday as they squared off against Allen in game two.

Unfortunately,  the Americans defeated the Rush, 4-3 in overtime.

Ben Carroll stepped into a one-timer and blasted the puck past Lukas Parik for the game winning goal, evening the best-of-seven series at 1-1.

Gabe Chabot led the Rush with two goals.

The Rush fired 63 shots on net but Luke Peressini was able to make 60 saves for the Americans.

The series now shifts to Allen, TX for game 3 on Tuesday night.

The puck will drop at 6:05 p.m. MT.
