Driver from Degeest house fire has been identified

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Police Department has confirmed the identity of the driver who crashed into a home on Degeest Drive on February 10. Mark Anthony Linn was identified as the man killed in the accident.

The Police Department responded to the house explosion and described the incident as a “significant crash that involved significant speeds.” The crash broke a gas line which fueled the fire. The home on Degeest was a total loss.

A donation account for the family that lived in the house has been set up at Black Hills Federal Credit Union. According to the Pennington Fire Administration, anyone interested in donating can go to any Black Hills Federal Credit Union location and specify they would like to donate to the “Dotson Family Account.” .
