Dream Design making significant progress on State “One-Stop” office, Liberty Center

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The new “One-Stop” shop for South Dakota government offices in Rapid City is making significant headway according to project officials.

The building, set just behind Lowe’s and off of Mall Drive, is at about 75% completion according to Dream Design’s Planning Director, Mike Stanley. Stanley says that they’ve been able to successfully combat supply chain shortages and continue work despite the winter weather.

“Knowing the conditions that we’re in right now, it’s just the chaos of getting materials and all that,” Stanley says. “We’ve been very, very upfront of what’s a long lead time in ordering those things.”

Another of Dream Designs major projects is the Liberty Center in Box Elder, which is showing strong signs of progress, with road work and street signs now visible throughout the area.

“As far as the land development side, I believe home construction right now is starting, and that’s been progressing along really well…the second phase of residential, I believe, is going to be starting. As far as the infrastructure goes, it’s going to be starting very soon,” Stanley adds.

The Liberty Center, which will be the anchor of the larger Liberty Plaza, is at about 60% completion according to Stanley. Completion dates for both the “One-Stop” shop and Liberty Center are expected this summer.
