Douglas School Districts Superintendent on paid leave of absence
Douglas School Board President Kathleen Melendez says the leave of absence is a decision between the board and Mr. Kerr
The Douglas School Board approved a paid leave of absence for Douglas School District Superintendent Alan Kerr that will run until June 30th.
The board also approved the assistant superintendent, Ann Pettit, to take over during Kerr’s absence.
She’ll get a bump in pay during that time.
As for why Kerr is on leave, Douglas School Board President Kathleen Melendez says it was a decision between the board and Mr. Kerr, saying, “Definitely want them [the public] to know it’s nothing illegal, no child was in harms way, nothing like that, it was just a personnel decision to put him on leave through the remainder of the school year.”
