Disaster Awareness and Safety Day

Annually across the nation, September is the month when agencies encourage households, businesses and communities to prepare and plan for emergencies.

This Saturday, in the parking lot of Pete Lien Memorial Field, Pennington County Emergency Management, along with partnering organizations will host Disaster Awareness and Safety Day. Starting at 11 a.m, the event will feature firetrucks, a K-9 unit, and free food. The National Weather Service will also be present with their tornado machine and to raffle off a free weather radio.
