Disabled American Veterans host mobile office hours in Western South Dakota

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) brought their mobile office to the Rapid City area on Wednesday. DAV is a nonprofit charity that assists millions of veterans and their families yearly.

They provide a free mobile service office made specifically for people in more rural areas. These offices-on-wheels travel to underserved communities all over America to help vets. They specialize in informing veterans about their pensions and medical needs.

“You know they should be compensated for their service and for the injuries they’ve sustained during that service,” said Audie Thornburg a national representative for DAV.

The mobile office moves eastward to Pierre tomorrow and will be in Mitchell on Friday
