“Dinner is served” by volunteers at Spearfish Senior Center fundraiser, Saturday

SPEARFISH, S.D. — In support of the Spearfish Senior Center, members and the public showed up for their helping of an early Thanksgiving-style feast fundraiser, Saturday.

Proceeds from this event, along with many others the organization hosts, helps towards projects that are offered for members. Currently, they are looking to add more computers for use in the building. In the future, they hope to add on to the buildings small space.

There are over 400 members at the senior center, and 89 of them joined just this year. Each of them pays $25 a year to stay a member. The price keeps it affordable for members.

Donations are accepted to help keep the center functioning and offering opportunities for seniors to socialize and stay active.
