Despite higher numbers, one Rally vendor says it’s about average

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The 81st Sturgis Motorcycle Rally wraps up this weekend, and despite vendor numbers and vehicle traffic being up this year, one vendor says things are looking about average.

Loramco Inc., which is setup right outside the main entrance of Black Hills Harley-Davidson, has been selling souvenirs for all the major motorcycle rallies for years.

With Sturgis being one of the few rally events still happening in 2021, the crew setup shop last year too.

According to the vendor, although foot traffic seems to be up, sales are looking about the same.

“I think it’s a little bit more people, we can see a little bit more of traffic of people coming in,” said Joe Levy, Loramco Inc. “But as far as sales at least for us and what I hear from other friends, vendors and stuff it’s pretty much the same. It’s okay you know, as long is it’s not low we’re okay with that. Hopefully we’ll have a strong weekend for one of us, so that’ll help.”

All vendors at the rally on Exit 55 are open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Black Hills Harley-Davidson. Saturday is the last day for all those last minute rally purchases.
