Deadwood Jam returns to the hills this weekend

SPEARFISH, S.D. — The Deadwood Jam is back for the thirtieth year in a row. Artists will make their way to the city this weekend to perform.

So far there are eight bands on the lineup, with more to be announced.

Organizers have set up sanitizing stations, social distancing signs, and are encouraging people wear masks, but masks are not required.

For the first time, the Jam will take place at the new Outlaw Square, which officially opened last December after last year’s Jam.

People will be able to set up lawn chairs at the square and there will be limited standing space.

“We’ve got everything from alternative rock to reggae to blue grass to classic rock and even some jam bands thrown in there,” says Deadwood Jam president, Brandon Harvey.

The jam starts on Friday and goes through Saturday night.
