STURGIS, S.D. — The City of Sturgis is looking for the individual or individuals who removed the temporary Dead End signs from the intersection of Fulton Street and Shepard Street.

The City of Sturgis Public Works Department made a Facebook post on Monday asking for the signs back.

“We put these signs out to both help people from out of the area to navigate and not end up in areas that have no outlet as well as for our residents to cut down on traffic in areas that go no where,” the post said. “The City of Sturgis does not have a endless supply of these signs and lights and will not replace them.”

The city asks that if anyone sees things that do not seem right, to please call the Sturgis Public Works Department at (605) 347-3916 or the Sturgis Police Department at (605) 347-2573
