Dakota Rustic Creations commissioned to design and make the new tree topper star in Main Street Square

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The downtown Christmas tree lighting is an annual tradition at Main Street Square, and this year a new star will adorn the top of the tree.

Dakota Rustic Creations was hired by employees of Main Street Square to design and make the tree topper.

Main Street Square managers saw Rustic’s creations at the Pheasants Forever Banquet, and knew then and there they were the right company for the job.

“They then emailed us and asked us if we could make them a tree topper since their current tree topper was getting a little old and rickety.” said owner of Dakota Rustic Creations, Jessica Oliver. “We were really excited we have been working more to kinda get our art work out in the community. Try to do more shows more projects we just really like to be able to do custom pieces that mean more for the community and for our customers.”

Jessica also said her team at Dakota Rustic Creations have never made a tree topper before but are always up for the challenge.

The star is expected to be up on the tree as early as Monday.
