Daddy Daughter Dance

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Fathers and daughters dressed to the nines Sunday night, tearing up the dance floor to support youth dancing. Prima School of Dance, Kol, and Uptown Sounds hosted their first ever Daddy Daughter Dance.

The girls at Prima compete locally, regionally and nationally, and fees can add up to the thousands of dollars. This fundraiser helps relieve the pressure.

Organizers said Kol fit the bill to host the dance.

“Kol has a big stigma of not being family-friendly and things like that,” said Kol Managing Partner Daniel Leal-Fernandez. “We definitely allow kids and enjoy kids, and we have kids eating for free on Tuesdays … We’re family-friendly; we’re for everybody.”

There was also a silent auction to raise funds.
