“Crosswalker” brings his faith to Sturgis Rally

STURGIS, SD — All kinds of people are in Sturgis for the Rally, but there’s one in particular who is pretty hard to miss.

Bob Hanus is known as the Crosswalker.

He’s attended the last 25 rallies, carrying a huge wooden cross through town.

After recovering from a drug addiction which nearly took his life, he now walks across the country talking about the his Christian faith.

“I’ve met so many people from across the planet for the past 25 years and have been able to build those relationships and nurture them,” said Hanus, “So all the tourists, the vendors, the police officers and the bikers.”

Hanus has trekked over 22,000 miles across North America.
