UPDATE: Rapid Valley fire reignites
UPDATE (1/18/21 @ 11 a.m.): Fire crews were once again dispatched to the site of the Sunday night structure fire on Ennen Drive, when the house reignited shortly before 10:00 a.m..
The fire is reported as contained.
RAPID VALLEY, S.D. — Fire crews were busy Sunday night in Rapid valley trying to put out a house fire in unincorporated Pennington County.
The Rapid Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the 1300 block of Ennen Drive just after 8:00 p.m.
First arriving firefighters found a fire burning the outside and inside of the home, a detached garage and extending into the yard.
Crews were able keep the fire contained to the home and there were no injuries reported.
The American Red Cross serving Central and Western South Dakota is assisting the people who were living inside the house.
