Crews battle house fire in Rapid City
RAPID CITY, S.D. — Fire crews are battling a house fire on the 900 block of 11th Street in Rapid City.
According to a spokesperson on scene, the report of the fire was called in at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Prior to the fire, a Montana-Dakota Utilities crew had been working on a gas line leak when they reportedly heard an explosion.
Homes were evacuated in the vicinity of the fire. No injuries were reported and one dog was saved from the residence.
Drivers are advised to avoid area of 11th Street between Columbus Street & South Street as fire crews and MDU crews continue efforts.
