Could we see measurable snow this week?

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Let’s check out what the weather will be like as we head into the second week of November!

Temperature trends:

Temperatures will drop as the week goes on. We could get pretty chilly after a strong system moves trough on Wednesday night. We could even see our first single digit low temperatures!

Will we get any precipitation?

We have a good chance for some measurable snow with the system on Wednesday night and Thursday. Models are still showing some uncertainty in the timing and the amounts. Brant has a deep dive on the upcoming system here.

Will it be windy?

Well see some strong winds on Monday that will gradually diminish into Tuesday and Wednesday. The system in the middle of the week will bring some decently strong winds with it as well.

What should I wear?

Make sure you dress warm! We are starting our transition into winter! So, you might want to break out those winter jackets!

Weekend forecast:

This weekend, although a little on the chilly side, should be dry. So if you’re fine with the cold, it might not be a bad week to get out and play in the snow, depending on how much we end up getting.
