Connor King hits 3-run homer as Post 22 tops Harrisburg
Rapid City Post 22 has been on fire as of late. After falling to Cheyenne Post 6 back on May 14, the Hardhats have won eight straight.
Post 22 extended its winning streak to nine in a row on Friday night after shutting out Harrisburg, 17-0.
Post 22 took the lead in the first inning with an RBI single by Cooper Bowman. The Hardhats added six more runs in the second thanks to a three-run homer by Connor King. Overall, Post 22 collected 16 hits and didn’t commit a single error. Bowman and King each drove in three runs for Post 22.

Zach Chiolis earned the win for Post 22. He tossed four innings, surrendering zero runs, two hits, while striking out nine.
Post 22 now improves to 16-2 on the season. The Hardhats return to action on Saturday night as they travel across the parking lot to Pete Lien Field to face the Post 320 Stars for the second time in eight days.
During their first meeting on May 26, the Hardhats rallied to beat the Stars, 8-7.
The first pitch on Saturday is scheduled for 7 p.m.
