Community Calendar Weekly (November 4 – 10)

There is always something going on in the Black Hills, but sometimes it can be hard to keep track of all the different events and festivities in the area. If you are looking for something to do this week but don’t know where to start, here is a list of picks from our community calendar.

Tuesday – November 5

  • Speaker on Identity Theft |Rapid City, 3 pm or 7 pm | FREE – Listen to guest speaker Hollie Strand who works as a Forensic Examiner for the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office speak on tips for protecting your identity.

Wednesday – November 6

  • YMCA Uptown Downtown Chilly Night |Rapid City, 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm | $40.00 ticket – A benefit for the YMCA Kids Sponsorship Campaign featuring chili, wine and beer.

Saturday – November 9

  • Rock, Fossil, and Mineral ID Day! |Rapid City, All-day | FREE – Interested in identifying your fossils, rocks and minerals? This day is for you! Head on down to the Museum of Geology so the Museum staff, Paleo Club, and Geological Society can assist in your identification needs.
  • Miner Brewing Music Series Presents: Trap Kit |Hill City, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm | FREE – An evening of music in the Taproom. Trap Kit aims to put Northern Plains Formal Folk music on the worldwide map.
  • First Church of God Bazaar & Rummage Sale |Rapid City, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm | FREE – While you are browsing around for old treasures, sit down for some chili and look through the many goodies that can be found in the bake sale.

Sunday – November 10

  • Homes For The Holidays |Rapid City, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm | $15 tickets – Tour five area homes providing holiday décor inspiration. Enjoy the opportunity to view both vintage and new houses. Local businesses participate in the decorating, displaying their innovative wares and creativity.
