Community Calendar Weekly (December 10 – 16)

There is always something going on in the Black Hills, but sometimes it can be hard to keep track of all the different events and festivities in the area. If you are looking for something to do this week but don’t know where to start, here is a list of picks from our community calendar.

Wednesday – December 11

  • Women in Networking: Holiday Luncheon |Spearfish, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm | $25 – Women In Networking is an organization for women in business that provides an opportunity to widen their professional networks and promote your business and network with other women.

Thursday – December 12

  • 1st Annual Elks Ladies Night |Rapid City, 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm | FREE – Vendor fair, register for door prizes, festive signature cocktails.

Friday – December 13

  • The Scrooge of Deadwood – Dinner Theater |Deadwood, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm | $50 tickets – Deadwood’s most infamous bad man, owner of the Gem Saloon, Al Swearingen, battles his demons and indulges his delights in this very Deadwood Christmas tale that you will not soon forget.

Saturday – December 14

  • Holiday Gift Workshop |Deadwood, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm | $6 for members, $11 for non-members plus tax – Students are invited to make homemade gifts for the holiday season. Participants will choose from a variety of ideas to create handmade gifts for family and friends. Make a natural photo holder, highlight unique art in magnets, create colorful coasters, craft traditional holiday ornaments, and more.
  • Sip ‘n Paint: Pottery Edition |Hill City, 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm | $40 tickets – Whether you’re a novice pottery glazer wanting to learn how to paint or just want to enjoy some laughs and good wine with friends, this event will teach you not to be afraid of painting (the wine also might help conquer that fear).

Sunday – December 15

  • Santa Paws Pet Photos |Spearfish, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm | $15 – Hobo’s Healing Heart and the Western Hills Humane Society are teaming up to bring you Photos with Santa. Bring your kiddos and your puppos for a fun & furry family photo with Santa!!!
