Colorado man dies in Wyoming rollover

WHEATLAND, Wyo. — A fatal one-vehicle rollover near Wheatland, Wyoming occurred Saturday night.

At around 10 p.m. the driver of a Jeep traveling north on Interstate 25 lost control of the vehicle, exiting the roadway and overturning. Wyoming Highway Patrol says equipment failure is being investigated as a possible contributing factor, as there was an apparent tire issue.

The driver has been identified as 26-year-old Mariano Solis of Lupton, Colorado. Solis was wearing his seat belt but succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.

This is the 105th fatality on Wyoming’s roadways in 2019 compared to 67 in 2018, 95 in 2017, and 74 in 2016 to date.
