City reminds child care providers about COVID-19 expenses reimbursement

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Local child care providers are being reminded by city officials that they are eligible for reimbursement for COVID-19-related expenses.

Funding is available from the United Way of the Black Hills for providers serving children ages infant to 12.

United Way’s Child Care CDBG Grant funds can be used to reimburse costs related to COVID-19 including personal protective equipment (PPE), cleaning supplies, increased staffing, food and travel costs and other increased or additional costs.

Reimbursement for eligible expenses started on October 1, 2020 and continue to present day.

Providers can submit a letter of intent here.
