City of Spearfish asks residents to move summer vehicles from the streets

SPEARFISH, S.D. — Boats, campers, and trailers make for a quick outing for summer fun. But as the weather gets cooler, we often find these vehicles sitting on the street.

The city of Spearfish says it’s time to start moving these vehicles from the streets in preparation for the upcoming winter months.

“Please do your part in making sure these items are not stored on the streets,” said Spearfish Police Chief Curt Jacobs.

As the seasons change, officers will be looking for vehicles being stored on the street and taking actions to remind owners to get them moved, in preparation for snow removal operations.

The city of Spearfish says their Snow Information and Advisory Guide provides information to assist residents in preparation for snow removal operations. They ask the public to review the guide to become familiar with the information.
