City of Custer invites residents to submit flood damage reports

CUSTER, S.D. — Following severe flash flooding that hit Custer last week, the town is requesting that residents submit damage reports.

Officials will review the submissions and determine if individuals are eligible for a claim.

The Custer Office of Emergency Management says any city or county resident that received personal property damage during the event can submit a report.

The office sent out a form, which can be viewed below, and requested that residents fill it out and email it to fcfloodsd@cityofcuster.com.

For those that don’t have an email, residents can contact the City Office directly at 605-673-4824 or the Office of Emergency Management at 605-673-8152 to schedule an appointment. They will still need to fill out the questionnaire either before or during the visit.
