Can we expect the warm weather to continue for this week?
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Let’s check out what the weather will be like as we head into November!
The first half of the week will see well above average temperatures and plenty of sun! A fairly potent system is expected to move through the area on Thursday, dropping the temperatures significantly. However, we’ll se a slight recovery by the weekend, before another system will pass through, dropping the temperatures again.
Will we get any precipitation?
We could see multiple rounds of precipitation, with the main threat coming on Thursday. Thursday’s system could bring snow to a few areas, but the timing and the amounts still have some uncertainty. We’ll be keeping our eyes on it, so stay tuned for more updates. Saturday’s system could also bring some rain to the area, however, there is less confidence than with Thursday’s system. At the moment, it looks like the main precipitation type will be rain, but if the trend colder, we could se some more widespread snow.
Will it be windy?
We’ll see wind start to pick up on Tuesday, lasting through Thursday, but it shouldn’t be significantly windy.
What should I wear?
You’re going to have to break out all sorts of outfits for this week. We’ll see temperatures ranging from highs in the mid 70’s to lows in the lower 20’s. So, it’s best to stay informed on the daily weather so you’ll be prepared for whatever mother nature has to throw at you.
This weekend won’t be nearly as nice as last weekend. Saturday should be relatively nice, at least until a cold front moves through, dropping the temperatures and bringing a chance for precipitation. Sunday will be noticeably cooler, though, at this time, it’s expected to be dry.
