Business-to-Business Expo at the Civic Center

RAPID CITY, S.D – The Rapid City Chamber of Commerce held its most important business event of the year. On Tuesday they held their annual Business-to-Business Expo, where local businesses tabled and encouraged partnerships.

There were over 600 people in attendance and 79 business booths.

The event, at the Civic Center, was host by the Chamber and Homeslice Media group. Each year the event consists of themed booths, food, and prizes. Most booths set up games and raffling in order to receive some sort of compensation or social outing.

Businesses competed for who had the best-themed table. Among the themes were Popeye, Super Mario Brothers, and a few tropical paradise themes. Attendees voted on who had the best theme and the winner received over $6,000 for media expenses within their business.

“As the Chamber, we care about businesses and connecting, advocating, and promoting. So this is an awesome opportunity for a lot of our Chamber members to be able to do that,” said Rachel Day, one of the event coordinators.

Businesses grow and succeed via networking and establishing a community. The Business-to-Business Expo gave companies the opportunity to network and institute a presence in the area.
