Burglary on North Maple Avenue — 4 firearms taken, recovered

RAPID CITY, S.D. — On Monday at around 5:00 a.m., police responded to a report of a burglary on North Maple Avenue. Police were informed that two male suspects were seen entering the residence, and four firearms had been taken from the home.

Upon arrival to the scene, police located two pairs of footprints on freshly fallen snow leading away from the house, police followed the tracks to a residence on East Watertown Street. While approaching the residence, police state they heard the sound of a firearm being racked.

More law enforcement arrived to the scene forming a perimeter around the home. Two male suspects identified as Bison Little Spotted Horse, age 19, and Blake Two Eagle, age 20, both of Rapid City, exited the residence and were detained.

They were both transported to RCPD Criminal Investigations Division to speak with detectives — and were both placed under arrest for first degree burglary following the interview, they were then transported to Pennington County Jail.

All four stolen firearms were located by police inside the residence on E. Watertown Street.
