Brothers indicted on new charges related to Rapid City woman’s kidnapping
RAPID CITY, S.D. — The two brothers accused of kidnapping and assaulting a Rapid City woman have been indicted on numerous new federal charges.
Jesse and Dustin Sierra were arraigned Wednesday in Rapid City, hearing the new charges they face in connection with the alleged kidnapping of Esther Wolfe on July 13.
According to U.S. Attorney Heather Sazama, who is prosecuting the case, Jesse Sierra pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning to 11 charges. They include kidnapping, two counts of aggravated sexual abuse by force, interstate domestic violence, assault resulting in serious bodily injury, and assault by strangulation of a dating partner.
Dustin Sierra also pleaded not guilty to charges of kidnapping, two counts of aggravated sexual abuse by force, interstate domestic violence, assault resulting in serious bodily injury, and assault of a dating partner.
Kidnapping and aggravated sexual abuse by force each carry maximum sentences of life in prison.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Daneta Wollmann ruled both men will remain in Federal custody.
