Brooklyn art collective makes a very odd ATM
Imagine everyone seeing your account balance when you use an ATM.
That’s what one such machine does.
It’s a special ATM made by the Brooklyn art collective MSCHF.
The group installed it at Art Basel, a five day art festival in Miami beach that attracts the ultra-rich.
The ATM lists the highest balances on a leader-board, similar to the way old arcade games displayed high scores.
According to MSCHF, the highest balance it recorded was 9.5 million dollars.
The ATM’s camera photographed a colorfully dressed couple as the owners, but it’s not clear who they are.
