Boys Hockey: Brookings scores three unanswered goals to beat Rushmore

RAPID CITY, S.D.  – The Rushmore Thunder hosted the Brookings Rangers on Saturday night in boys hockey.

After a scoreless first period, the Thunder scored two goals in the second period thanks to Derrick Brown Jr. and Miles Retzer.

However, the Rangers scored three goals in the third to beat the Thunder, 3-2.

Abraham Partridge stopped 37 of 40 shots in the loss.

Rushmore is now 9-4-1-1 on the season. The Rangers improve to 11-2-1.

Rushmore will host Brookings again on Sunday at 2 p.m.
