Boys ‘AA’ SoDak 16 Results: RC Central falls to Aberdeen Central
Black Hills State named RMAC Women's Basketball Champions
RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Central boys basketball team was hoping to punch a ticket to State AA Tournament for the second year in a row.
The only team standing in their way was Aberdeen Central.
The two teams squared off on Saturday in the Class AA SoDak 16.
The Cobblers jumped out to a big lead in the first half.
Unfortunately, the Golden Eagles rallied in the second half and upset the Cobblers, 57-52.
Alec Voegele led Aberdeen Central with 16 points.
The Cobblers were led by Micah Swallow with 24 points and 15 rebounds.
Rapid City Central wraps up the season with a 11-9 record.
Meanwhile, Aberdeen Central advances to the State AA Tournament, March 18-20 in Rapid City.
The Golden Eagles will play top seeded Sioux Falls Washington in the first round.

Women’s Basketball Finals
The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) regretfully announces the cancellation of the #7 Black Hills State versus #1 Colorado School of Mines Championship contest in the 2021 RMAC Women’s Basketball Tournament. The game is declared a no contest following the application of COVID-19 protocols involving the Orediggers.
Following the predetermined RMAC policy, Black Hills State has been crowned the Tournament Champions and will receive the automatic bid to the National Collegiate Athletic Assocation (NCAA) Division II post season.
The remaning RMAC teams will now await the NCAA bracket release which is set for Sunday, March 7 at 8:00 p.m.
