UPDATE: Box Elder man arrested for Wednesday night stabbing

UPDATE:

BOX ELDER, S.D. — The name of the suspect from the stabbing in Box Elder on Thursday has been released.

Nathaniel James Lee Dubray, an 18-year-old Box Elder resident, was arrested and is currently being charged with one count of aggravated assault.

The victim remains hospitalized and is in good condition.

Authorities are still investigating the case and the motive behind the stabbing.

The Box Elder Police Department has arrested an 18-year-old male in connection with a stabbing that happened Wednesday night in the Valley Village mobile home park in Box Elder.

Det. Duane Peyrot, with the BEPD, says police responded to a call about 5 p.m. Wednesday of a man who was stabbed in his home.

When arriving on scene, police found a 36-year-old male with an abdominal stab wound. He was taken to Rapid City Regional Health Hospital. Peyrot says he is still being treated for his injury but is in good condition.

Following an investigation by the BEPD, an 18-year-old male was taken into custody late Thursday morning, his charges pending.

Police are not yet identifying the people involved.

Video of what appears to be the incident is circulating on social media and police say the video will be used in the investigation. The video may be disturbing to some.
