Body of older male found in culvert near S. Valley Drive

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Rapid City Police are on scene investigating a body that was found in a culvert near S. Valley Drive on Monday afternoon.

According to Community Relations Specialist for the Rapid City Police Department, Brendyn Medina, around 2 p.m., first responders were called to the 3000 block of S. Valley Drive for a report of prone individual who was seen in a culvert and was deceased. The RCPD is working to investigate the incident.

An autopsy is scheduled while preliminary information is not pointing to any signs of foul play. The autopsy will reveal how long the Caucasian male was there and the RCPD is working to identify the victim.
