Body of man found on island in Rapid Creek identified

 

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Rapid City Police Department has identified the body of a man discovered near Rapid Creek as 56 year old Keith DuBray Sr.

Two individuals fishing in the creek found the body early Wednesday morning, and notified law enforcement. At around 8:50 p.m., June 9, police were dispatched to an area west of the Fairgrounds for a report of an unresponsive individual on a small island within Rapid Creek. On arrival, police located the male subject who was obviously deceased.
1280x960 60926p00 Ttxds 300x225RCPD worked with Pennington County Search and Rescue to recover the individual from the location where they were spotted.
At this time, the investigation into the incident remains active and ongoing, although there were no signs of trauma or foul play. The department has also scheduled an autopsy and toxicology report, which are expected to be available in the next six to eight weeks.
