Body found in Pierre apartment, woman arrested
PIERRE, S.D. – Pierre police have arrested a woman for her alleged connection to the death of a 49-year-old man.
38-year-old Crystal Pumpkinseed, who also is known as Miranda Henry, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation assisted in the investigation.
On Wednesday morning, police were called to the 200 block of West Pleasant Drive in Pierre. When they arrived, they found an open apartment door with a 49-year-old man, who has not yet been identified, deceased. Police say “the male had apparent injuries to his person that warranted further investigation.”
An autopsy is scheduled to determine the manner and cause of the person’s death.
