Black Hills State University to host 25th annual Black Hills Research Symposium
SPEARFISH, S.D. — Black Hills State University will be hosting the 25th annual Black Hills Research Symposium March 21-23.
The event will feature a keynote panel of:
- Jerilyn Church, Chief Executive Officer of the Great Plains Tribal Health Leaders’ Board
- Ben Jasinski, Software Engineering Manager at SRAM LLC
- Kelly Kirk, Director of the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center
Oral presentations will be held March 22 from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in the Swarts and Trump conference rooms inside the Student Union, and poster presentations will occur later that afternoon from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Hive Lobby of the Student Union and will remain on display through March 23.
The keynote panel will take place March 23 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Meier Hall Auditorium. The discussion between Church, Jasinski and Kirk will focus on bridging research, career and community. Dr. Nick Van Kley, Director of the Center for Faculty Innovation at Black Hills State University will serve as moderator of the discussion and host an audience Q&A with the panel.
All symposium events are free and open to the public.
