Black Hills Energy restores power to westside area of Rapid City

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Black Hills Energy customers experienced power outages in the westside area of Rapid City Saturday evening.

The outage occurred around 4:30 p.m. affecting about 7,860 customers.

Crews responded to the area, and began restoring power where the outages occurred.

As of 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening, all of the customers have had their power restored.

The outages were caused by high winds, and a lightning storm passing through the Rapid City area.
