Black Hills Bluegrass Association to perform at Spring Acoustic Showcase
RAPID CITY, S.D. — On Sunday, April 24, the Black Hills Bluegrass Association is presenting its Spring Acoustic Showcase, formerly held in March and known by the acronym MUMPS.
The event will be held at the Vucurevich Event Center at the Dahl Arts Center from 1:30-7:00 p.m.
General admissions will be $15, $12 for Bluegrass Association members and free for kids under 12. Tickets are not sold in advance and are available at the door. The showcase is being sponsored this year by Black Hills Surgical Hospital.
All of the performers donate their time and talent to this fundraiser for the 41st Annual Black Hills Bluegrass Festival. The performers include some of the best fiddle players in the Black Hills including Stringbean Svenson, Kenny Putnam, Katie Lautenschlager and Morgan Sisters.
There will be a wide variety of music, with traditional bluegrass and folk instrumentals and vocal harmonies, high energy Americana, country, blues and flatpick guitar, Celtic, gospel and original compositions.

The Klinkeltown Food Truck will also be onsite with burgers, wings, pulled pork BBQ, tater tots and appetizers. Soft drinks, coffee, cookies and chips will be available as well.
